Mohkam Career – Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: May 2026
Welcome to Mohkam Career ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"). This Refund and Cancellation Policy governs all purchases made through our web application, including mentorship sessions, live mock OSCEs, webinars, and on-demand digital courses.
By purchasing any product or service on our Platform, you explicitly agree to the terms outlined below.
1. On-Demand Online Courses (Digital Content)
Under UK and EU consumer law, buyers normally have a 14-day "cooling-off" period to change their minds about digital purchases. However, this right is waived once the digital content has been accessed, streamed, or downloaded.
The Policy: All sales of on-demand online courses are final. We do not offer refunds once a course has been accessed.
The Legal Exemption: When purchasing an on-demand course, you will be required to check a box stating: "I authorise immediate access to this digital content, and I acknowledge that by doing so I lose my right to a 14-day statutory cooling-off period."
Unaccessed Content: If you purchase a course and do not log in or access any material (including video lectures, PDFs, or quizzes) within 14 days of purchase, you may request a full refund. After 14 days, no refund is available.
2. Live Webinars and One-Off Masterclasses
Webinars are classified as live, non-tangible digital events with a fixed scheduling capacity.
Cancellations by the Candidate:
- More than 7 days before the webinar: Full 100% refund.
- Between 48 hours and 7 days before: Eligible for a 50% platform credit (valid for 12 months) toward future Platform products.
- Less than 48 hours before (or non-attendance): No refund or credit. The slot was reserved exclusively for you, and streaming infrastructure was deployed.
Cancellations by the Platform / Mentor: If a webinar is cancelled or rescheduled by us, and you cannot attend the new time, you will receive a 100% full refund immediately.
3. Live Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE Mocks)
Mock OSCEs require significant administrative setup, fixed scheduling slots for mentors, and coordination of digital examination rooms.
Cancellations by the Candidate:
- More than 14 days before the mock exam: Eligible for a full refund minus the non-refundable card processing, international network, and currency conversion fees retained by our payment processor (Stripe). No fixed administrative fee applies.
- Between 7 and 14 days before: Eligible for a 50% platform credit (valid for 12 months).
- Less than 7 days before (or non-attendance): Non-refundable, except in cases of verifiable medical emergency.
Medical Emergency Exception: If you cancel less than 7 days before due to a verifiable medical emergency (official doctor's note or hospital admission letter required), we will offer a 75% platform credit or a 50% cash refund (less Stripe processing fees).
Technical Disruptions: Candidates are solely responsible for ensuring a stable, high-speed internet connection, a functional webcam, and a working microphone. Refunds will not be issued if a candidate fails a station or cannot complete the circuit due to personal connectivity or local hardware issues.
4. 1-on-1 Mentorship Sessions
Rescheduling: You may reschedule a scheduled 1-on-1 advice or portfolio evaluation session up to 48 hours before the start time at no extra charge.
Late Cancellations (Less than 48 hours): Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session start time will automatically incur a fixed cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total session price. This fee is mandatory and is processed automatically at the time of cancellation to compensate the scheduled Mentor for their reserved clinical slot.
No-Shows: If you are more than 15 minutes late to a live scheduled mentorship link, the session is abandoned, and no refund will be issued.
5. Statutory Rights (UK Consumer Rights Act 2015)
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights. If any digital content or live service is genuinely faulty, misdescribed, or does not function as advertised:
For digital content (on-demand courses): In accordance with UK statutory frameworks, you have the right to request that the Platform repair or replace the defective digital file. If the digital content cannot be repaired or replaced within a reasonable timeframe and without causing significant inconvenience, you will then be entitled to an appropriate price reduction or a full refund.
For live services (webinars, OSCEs, mentorship): Services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill. We will first make every reasonable effort to re-perform, reschedule, or remedy delivery discrepancies. If re-performance is impossible or cannot be done within a reasonable period, you will be entitled to a partial or full refund.
6. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
All requests must be submitted formally through our app dashboard or by email to support@mohkam.app. Your request must include:
- Your full registered name and email address.
- The Transaction ID / Stripe Invoice Number.
- The specific reason for your request.
Processing Timelines & Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance: Approved cash refunds will be credited back strictly and exclusively to the original payment method used during checkout (e.g., the original debit/credit card via Stripe) within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank's processing times.
Under no circumstances will refunds be issued to alternative bank accounts, digital wallets, or third-party transfer services. Platform credits (issued under sections 2, 3, or 4) expire 12 months from the date of issue and are non-transferable.
7. Questions or Concerns
If you have any questions about this policy or believe we have not met your statutory rights, please contact us at support@mohkam.app. We will respond within 5 business days.
